Townsquare Media New Hampshire in conjunction with Grappone Automotive Group is proud to present this year's Year of Service awards!
The annual Year of Service program, is a comprehensive on-air and digital program designed to make a significant contribution to New Hampshire non-profit organizations.
This charitable initiative, underwritten by Grappone Automotive Group, supports nine granite state non-profits on four Townsquare Media radio stations (102.1 & 105.3 The Shark, 97.5 WOKQ, 94.9 WHOM, and 103.7 The Peak). It consists of one $100,000 campaign for our overall winner and eight quarterly awards for our additional partners. These public service campaigns will aim to increase awareness for the following incredible organizations:

Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Hampshire
The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Hampshire is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. Serving more than 1,000 children in mentoring relationships, their vision is that all children achieve success in life. They hold themselves accountable for each child in their program achieving: higher aspirations, greater confidence, better relationships, avoidance of risk behaviors, and educational success.
Presenting the Quarterly Partners for the 2018 Year of Service:
Community Partners connects their clients and their families to the opportunities and possibilities for full participation in their communities. As the designated Community Mental Health Center, Developmental Services Provider and Family Support Center for the region, they offer a wide variety of services across the lifespan. They serve those who experience emotional distress, mental illnesses, substance use disorders, developmental disabilities, chronic health needs, acquired brain disorder, as well as those who are in need of information and referral to access long-term supports and services. They strive to be an organization that consistently delivers outstanding services and supports that are person-focused and dedicated to full participation in communities. They are a leader in educating their community network, families, and the public to reduce stigma and increase self-determination and personal empowerment for their most vulnerable citizens.
Disability Rights Center - New Hampshire
The Disability Rights Center - New Hampshire is dedicated to eliminating barriers existing in New Hampshire to the full and equal enjoyment of civil and other legal rights by people with disabilities.
Hero Pups places service and support dogs with veterans and first responders. They use shelter pups whenever possible to help our heroes with the effects of post traumatic stress, depression and the invisible scars for their service time. As a volunteer run nonprofit, they spend every penny on the support and care of the pups they are training.
Zebra Crossings offers empowerment programs for youth and teens with chronic medical conditions. Whether it is a week-long camp or weekend activities, care is always provided by trained medical staff. They aim to lessen the burden of chronic medical conditions by connecting kids through play and giving respite for caregivers. Zebra Crossings is a fun, safe place where kids just get to be kids.
Granite Pathways supports individuals with mental illness and substance use disorders in building personal equity and achieving their life goals as valued members of their community.
Great Bay Kids' Company
Great Bay Kid's Company provides quality early education and after school programming in Exeter, Newmarket, Portsmouth & Newfields. They just celebrated our 50th year on the Seacoast.
Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country
Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country (ASPNC) is a community-based, not for profit organization with a mission to ensure the enrichment of the quality of life for people with disabilities. ASPNC accomplishes this through the provision of year-round opportunities for sport, recreation, and wellness through the Franconia area and North Country of New Hampshire.
Friends of Forgotten Children
The mission of Friends of Forgotten Children is to assist children, families and seniors experiencing hardships by helping to improve their quality of life and ensure greater stability and success.Through cooperative, working relationships with local service organizations, they fulfill necessary supplemental community needs by providing food assistance, self-help training opportunities, clothing and holiday gift wishes...all at no charge to clients.
Their dedicated volunteers are the backbone of their organization. They are always looking for volunteers to share their time, talents and experience in conjunction with FOFC to benefit the needs of our community.
