Winter Hiking In Maine
Itching to hike a mountain? Here are some great ones in the area!
Back when I lived in New Hampshire, I did a fair amount of hiking. The last big hike I did was Whiteface and Passaconaway.
But for some reason since I've been here in Maine, I have yet to get out on a mountain. Maybe it's because I keep telling myself that it's too cold.
The reality is that as long as you dress appropriately, it's never too cold for a hike!
Here are some great mountains in the area if you're considering getting out there in the near future:
Champlain Mountain (1,058 feet)
Rumford Whitecap (2,214 feet)
Burnt Mountain (3,600 feet)
Old Speck (4,170 feet)
Mount Adams (5,799 feet)
