I think most of us would not be thrilled to experience an itchy unpleasant rash this Summer. That is why I was displeased to learn that my camping trip in a few weeks is in Freeport Maine, one of the highest areas of brown tail moth infestation according to FreeportMaine.com. OY! For those who do not know, when the brown tail moth is a caterpillar they have tiny hairs that shed into the air and are toxic to human skin. They cause a beastly blistering rash and in some cases even respiratory issues.

There is not much to be found on the interweb about treating this rash if you do have the misfortune of getting one. If you know any home remedies or treatments for this please feel free to share. I really don't want to cancel my camping trip as I have been looking forward to it. However, I don't really want to endure this horrendous rash either. Oh what a dilemma!
