Go biking for apples this weekend with AppleCycle. The course passes by some of Maine’s prettiest apple orchards during prime picking season and includes pit stops at Doles and McDougal Orchards. There’s also a lakeside lunch of wood-fired pizza. Choose the 17-mile, 30-mile or 62-mile route.

Get a pottery wheel lesson in the morning and sample some beers in the afternoon. Maine Craft Weekend celebrates the state's craft artists and craft brewers from around the state for a whole weekend. See studios that are rarely open to the public and catch demonstrations put on just for this event. It's a dog-friendly beer festival and fundraiser for the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland. Humans can sample beer from breweries like Austin Street, Baxter, Foundation, Rising Tide and Barreled Souls and buy grub from some great food trucks. There'll be plenty of dog-centric vendors there, too
All Weekend
The 139th Deerfield Fair takes the top outdoor spot this weekend. The history - it's New Hampshire's oldest fair - and the popularity of this wonderful county fair make it a sure winner! Taking place at the Deerfield Fairgrounds, the event will feature live entertainment, craft barns, animal barns, rides, horse shows, food, and a demolition derby.

The Annual Powder Keg Beer & Chili Festival will be held at Swasey Park in Exeter this weekend. There will be over 45 breweries, 100 beers on tap, 22 restaurants and great music too!

The 2nd Annual New Hampshire Food Truck Festival will be held at Redhook Brewery in Portsmouth this weekend. Food Truck festivals have become all the rage and it has truly become a competition about who makes the better food from a truck! Come for a full day of food, beer, and fun!
