You know how you look at old pictures of yourself from 20 years ago and wonder "Why would I even wear that?" You'll get that same feeling when you watch this classic Levinsky's commercial from 1993.

Times have changed since this commercial aired on TV's all across southern Maine. Back then, Levinsky's had three locations including their original store that had been in Portland for close to a century. Today just the Windham store remains.

Fashions have changed since 1993 and so has commercial production.  Check out that video camera in the beginning of the ad. And what's with the guy pulling the old, fake walking up and down the stairs trick?

Some of the split screen effects were kind of cutting edge for locally produced commercials in the day but you can't help but laugh at them in 2016.
