Volunteers are needed for a very important job...being the voice of a child in the Maine foster care system. Consider being a Maine Court Appointed Special Advocate. You'll get the training and support to get the job done right.

If you're looking to really make a huge change in a child's life, this could be the volunteer opportunity for you. You can provide support, encouragement and a voice for a young Maine child who is at a very vulnerable stage of life. Maine CASA needs dedicated people to step in and help.  They will help you with training and support.  It's a big decision, but a worthwhile position to consider. The next training is coming up in August, but now is the time to start talking to the people at Maine CASA and see if this is something for you.

I've had the chance to speak with Libby McCullum, Program Manager and Danyelle Carson, guardian ad litem with Maine CASA.  They are extremely passionate about what they do and a true inspiration.  My interview with Libby & Danyelle is below.  If you like to pursue the idea of be a part of this organization, you can contact Libby at 207-287-5424.
