Veteran’s House Demolished While He’s Away

He was up to date on his mortgage and taxes, but when he got home, his house was gone!

U.S. Navy Veteran Phillip Williams went to Florida for a knee replacement. He ended up having to be there for about six months due to complications. But when he returned home, he was shocked to see that his house was gone.

It was demolished by the town while he was away, because according to town officials, neighbors complained that the house was an eyesore.

Williams is now waging a legal battle against the town. He wants reimbursement — for the house and all the belongings inside.
