If you are a "woman with a period", then these undies are for you!

Miki Agrawal, former professional soccer player and one of Forbe's 'Top 20 Millienials On a Mission' in 2013, is on a mission to change the face of feminine hygiene and save the environment at the same time!

Agrawal has developed THINX underwear (tagline: "For Women with Periods") with a crotch that absorbs the equivalent of one pad or two tampons. The underwear can be washed and reused for up to a year, and for every pair sold, one is being donated to Uganda.

Wow. Thank you Emma for writing this Forbes piece. Still trending as the most popular article on Forbes.com, three days later! Check it out if you haven't yet and please share it if it speaks to you!

While the hope is these underwear will help cut down on the waste generated from applicators and pads in our landfills, THINX facebook page is careful to remind everyone that these revolutionary panties are meant to be a backup to tampons and pads.  They encourage ladies to "Know your flow" as everyone is different.

The pricing is of course high, so if you're looking to purchase a set of 7 you'll be looking at around $200. But if they really do last for a year, then comparing that cost to a years supply of tampons and pads could be fairly similar.

For more information on styles, pricing and ordering you can visit the THINX Website, and if you're already a proud owner I'd love to hear your experience with this revolutionary concept!
