It makes sense...so I'm going to try this starting tonight.

I've been having a hard time getting to sleep and staying asleep for a while now. I know that it's a very common affliction. I just can't seem to turn my brain off when it's time for bed! I'll also wake up in the middle of the night and have a very hard time falling back asleep.

I stumbled upon this little suggestion to try that seems to make a lot of sense.

Each night before bed, write a list of 5 things you’re grateful for. Researchers at UC Davis say this simple act will help you fall asleep faster.
That's because expressing gratitude distracts us from the anxious thoughts that normally keep us awake. And when we’re feeling less anxious, it’s significantly easier to fall asleep.

If you're having sleep issues like I am, give this a shot...and let me know if it works for you. I'll be talking about this on the air in the coming weeks, and will let you know if it worked for me!
