I am at that age where all my friends seem to be getting hitched! I have had tons of engagement parties, bridal showers, bachelorette parties and of course weddings over this past year. And there doesn't seem to be an end in sight! Northern New England is such a beautiful place to get married. It got me thinking about all the different venues to say "I Do" in Maine & NH.

Bar Harbor Inn

Bar Harbor, ME

This view is absolutely breathtaking. I can't imagine a more romatic spot to be wed. Of course when choosing an outdoor venue like this the weather must be taken into account which is always a variable in New England but worth it if you get a beautiful day like the one in this picture!

Dockside Restuarant in York Harbor

York, ME

This property is located right on Harris Island which divides the Atlantic and York Harbor. It presents the most classic Maine scenery with lobster boats gliding across the ocean and waves lapping up onto the rocky shore. Just gorgeous!

King's Hill Inn & Barn

South Paris, ME

This inn/barn is a little more rustic but I think it has character. I love when people decide on more unique venues for weddings because it keeps things interesting.

Zorvino Vineyards

Sandown, NH

I love the idea of getting married at a winery and this winery is particularly picturesque. The land surrounding the vineyard looks equally as beautiful covered in a blanket of snow as it does green and flourishing in the Summer time.

M/S Mount Washington

Lake Winnipesaukee, NH

Get all your family and friends aboard the M/S Mount Washington and sail off into the sunset. Unfortunately with my history of getting sea sick I don't think a wedding on a boat would be a great fit. I can just see me hanging over the edge of the boat getting violently ill. HOWEVER for those that do not have a sensitivity to the motion of the ocean, I think a wedding at sea is a really cool idea!

Have you been to a wedding at any of these venues? What other places in Maine & NH make a beautiful backdrop for a bride and groom?
