A co worker of mine, we'll call him Mike. (He has requested to be left anonymous because he doesn't want to get in trouble with his Mrs). Mike got pulled over the other day in Dover NH for talking on his cell phone while driving. He received a shiny $124 citation for distracted driving, no warning. According to a press release from the City of Dover Police Department, Dover stopped 179 people, issued a total of 153 sumonses and gave 12 warnings for distracted driving in the month of August ALONE. The moral of the story? Hopefully your car has bluetooth and you can make phone calls through your car speakers. But if you are rocking 2001 Camry like myself, that is not an option. So I guess the phone calls and texts and cheeseburger eating will have to wait. It is the law after all.
