Portland's annual food and drink festival returns October 17-22, with a variety of events for the food and drink lover to indulge in. The nearly week long event offers one more great reason to visit Portland.

Special events include the Flavors of Maine event on October 19th, with area chefs preparing special dishes alongside cocktail, wine and beer tastings, as well as audience favorite, the Lobster Chef of the Year competition on October 20th. This fun luncheon pits Maine chefs against one another with their best lobster dishes, hoping to earn top honors.

New this year is the Harvest Happy Hour on Friday, October 20th, a fun boozy event featuring sips of spirits from members of Maine Craft Distiller’s Guild with custom food pairings. Ticket holders will sample Maine liquor paired with bacon, veggies, smoked seafood and barbeque.

The popular Market on the Harbor, at Portland Company, is Saturday, October 21st, and offers an array of food and drink samples in a fun location. Graze your way around Maine without leaving the building!

Also new this year is the Harvest Crawl. Ticket holders will spend Sunday, October 22nd on a self-guided tour through Portland with sips and bites at tasting rooms, bars, restaurants and shops.
