The video below shows the the abductor approaching her and then dragging her down the sidewalk to his parked car. The surveillance video did not capture audio but a witness says they heard screams for help. The video is chilling. Who hasn't had that gut wrenching feeling while walking alone that someone could take you and no one would see.

THERE'S AN APP FOR THAT- Created by a woman who survived an abduction. This is a great idea.

QUICK SAFETY TIPS FROM EXPERTS-

Don't wear headphones while walking alone.

Carry whistle on your keychain.

Hold your keys between your fingers as a possible weapon of defense.

Have a plan.

Fight for your life. You are far more likely to be killed or seriously injured if you go with the predator than if you run away (even if he promises not to hurt you). Run away, yell for help, do whatever you can to attract attention.

*Avoiding a car-jacking. Lock all doors and keep windows closed when driving. Experts say that most car-jackings take place when vehicles are stopped at intersections.

What do you do to stay safe? Do you have any tips to offer?
