Pink is the new black, at least for one night, on the ice in Portland. The Portland Pirates hockey team hosts the Springfield Falcons and the evening starts by honoring breast cancer survivors, caretakers and their families during a pre-game ceremony. And yes, all fans are encouraged to wear pink! The Pirates will be donning special jerseys with a pink ribbon design with will be auctioned off on-line after the game. Proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer initiative.
