Here's a reason to head to the back of your closet and bust out your favorite little black dress (or suit) and have a night out with cocktails, appetizers, silent and live auctions and a runway show featuring volunteers strutting their stuff in their Goodwill-bought fashions. The 5th Annual Little Black Dress Event is a benefit for the Veterans Fund with 100-percent of the proceeds going to veterans and their families.

Sip on coffee - or beer – as you catch the Portland-based jazz/funk organ trio. Micromassé is organist Peter Dugas, guitarist Max Cantlin and drummer Chris Sweet. They're inspired by the great jazz organ groups of the 50s and 60s while also mixing in traditional and contemporary African and Latin music.

DUCK DERBY

The Annual Duck Derby Fair and Craft Show is put on by the Cornish Historical Society. Crafters and vendors set up shop in Thompson's Park and there are kid's games, an art contest for elementary school students, a decorated carriage and bike parade and contest and then the spotlight event of the day - the duck derby at the intervale of Little River! Stick around after the race for the handing out of the awards.

The Made in NH "Try It and Buy It" Expo, which has become an annual spring tradition, is now in its 21st year. This expo, which will be held at the Center of New Hampshire Expo Center in Manchester, is the largest consumer trade show in New Hampshire.

The orchestra seats have been removed at the Rochester Opera House so you can get funky this weekend during a performance of the Motor Booty Affair. Crank up the disco music, turn on the disco lights and you have yourself a disco club. The four out-of-this-world jive-talkin' funkateers of Motor Booty Affair bring their '70s extravaganza of groove, style and attitude back to our stage for a sixth season.
