The Apple Game Nikki Played When She Was A Kid (And Still Does) [VIDEO]

Did you play the apple game when you were a kid? I think more girls played this silly (but fun) game than boys. The purpose was to determine the first letter of the name of the boy you were going to marry when you grew up.

If you've never played before, here's how it works: You twist the stem of the apple while saying your ABC's... Whatever letter the stem breaks on is the magic letter of your future husband's name.

Obviously, the apple is not a good fortune teller. I married a man whose first name starts with "P." I've never, ever gotten that far in the alphabet while twisting the stem.

By the way, I still do this as an adult, even though I've been married a long time. It's a childish thing I refuse to give up.
