Strange Maine: A Ghost Town Is Buried Underwater In Flagstaff Lake [WATCH]
Can you imagine growing up in a small town, then being told to evacuate immediately? Instantly your anxiety would kick in, and sadness too. Everything that you know is ripped away from you. Why? Well, because CMP has decided to flood your town, to make way for a hydro-dam. Sounds like a movie plot, right? Actually this scenario is very real, happened in 1950, and here in Maine. The once existing town is now a ghost town underwater. RIP Flagstaff, Maine. Brought to you by WCSH Channel 6.
To make things even creepier, Texas singer songwriter Slaid Cleaves wrote about the buried city of Flagstaff. The music video chronicles the town through archived photos of the town and residents.
