But was it actually filmed here?

I've been absolutely hooked on the new Hulu exclusive mini series 11.22.63, starring James Franco, and produced by Stephen King and J.J. Abrams. It's based on King's novel of the same name.

The basic premise of the show is that Franco's character finds a way to travel back in time to thwart the assassination of John F. Kennedy. I know...it sounds like a bit of a stretch, and relies on your ability to temporarily suspend disbelief. But once you start the first episode, it pulls you in!

I thought that it was very cool to see that the story begins in Lisbon Falls, Maine. That's actually the town that Stephen King went to high school. And I wondered if the scenes were actually filmed here in Maine. Well unfortunately, it appears that they weren't. According to Wikipedia, the series was shot mostly in Ontario, Canada...with a few scenes shot in Dallas, Texas.

So...that's a little disappointing. However, I would highly recommend you check out this show, I love it!
