Spending the Holidays in Maine and Cape Cod [PHOTOS]
I had a nice long vacation and had the chance to show off a little of Maine and Cape Cod to my Californian niece and nephew. They were hoping to see snow but had a tour of lighthouses, forts and Becky's for breakfast.
My sister's family flew into Boston and made a quick road trip to Maine to show the kids a little of Maine. Of course, the morning had to start with breakfast at legendary Becky's Diner. My cousins & uncle joined us, so our noisy crowd took over a corner of the diner.
We only had a day in Maine, so I took them on a quick lighthouse tour of Bug Light, Spring Point Ledge and Portland Head Light. My niece from drought stricken California discovered the fine art of puddle jumping.
Several days later, we all met up in Truro, Cape Cod at my parent's home where we went on walks and ate lots of food.
My bother, Jim and his wife were in Japan, so we Skyped with them. He doesn't usually Skpe with an American flag draped in front of him. He was telling us how the flag was made in China.
We went on a fun little walk along the Trail that lead from Fisher Beach to Pamet Harbor.
