South Portland WinterFest is This Weekend!

Come out and play this weekend! WinterFest 2016 starts this Friday evening from 4 to 6, with skating and a luminary display at Mill Creek Park! There will also be hot chocolate, games on ice, 'smores and fire pits! Saturday morning the festivities begin with a live Blue Grass band and a Pancake Breakfast at the South Portland Community Center from 8-10:30. Starting at 11:30, join the free events at Wainwright Recreation Complex, Gary Maietta Parkway in South Portland. Enjoy family skating with lights and music, snow shoe hikes, horse drawn carriage rides, turkey bowling, ice sculptures, a cardboard sled race and evening fireworks too! All of this activity will work up an appetite! Hurray for the Chili and Chowder Challenge, Wing Eating Contest and food trucks to fill our tummies!
