Thanksgiving dinner is typically a time for friends and family to gather together and share a delicious meal. If you're hosting that gathering, food costs can climb rather quickly, so it's never a surprise when someone is looking to save a few bucks here or there when putting together the meal. However, this probably would have been a bad idea right from the beginning.

The Falmouth Police Department took to their Facebook page to outline a bizarre situation that could leave people in some serious health danger over the Thanksgiving holiday. It's hard to believe that anyone would steal turkeys from the dumpster of a grocery store, but strange things do happen here in Maine.

As the Falmouth PD outline, if you happen to acquire a turkey under less-than-normal circumstances, discard it immediately. There's no amount of spices or stuffing that is going to make that bird good for you.
