Sold Out Crowd at Victoria Mansion Doll Tea

The Victoria Mansion Doll Tea is a premier event in Portland that celebrates being a girl. Little girls and big girls enjoy tea and pastries, a little dancing with the Portland Ballet and time together with family and friends. And little girls bring their dolls.

Several years ago, I walked into the Victorian Mansion Doll Tea and fell in love with the event.  I was amazed that each girl received a hand crafted doll blanket.  Everyone was dressed up and adorable.  I wanted to be a part of this over the top event. The event has grown bigger every year.  We now hold the tea at the Maine Irish Heritage Center. We sugar the girls up with cup cakes and the Portland Ballet helps them burn it off with dance moves. Tea princesses are crowned with special crowns, gift bags and sashes. There's also a special doll exhibit held at the Victoria Mansion.  It's held the Sunday after Mothers' Day and sold out in 5 days this year.
