Snowboarder Sean Busby at Walk to Cure Diabetes in Manchester, N.H. [VIDEO]

Type 1 diabetes is a disease that my family has dealt with for 50 years. My dad developed the disease in his 20's. We've seen huge strides in the treatment of diabetes from glass syringes to the insulin pump.  

It's thanks to the millions of dollars raised to fund research through organizations and events that these advances have been made.  The JDRF Northern New England branch is hosting the JDRF Walk for a Cure in Manchester, NH on Sunday, September 28, 2014. Snowboarder Sean Busby is expected to be at the walk in Manchester. Lace those sneakers and plan for a beautiful day raising funds to cure diabetes.
