Slattery Wins Maine Match Play Title

Despite hitting his first tee shot of the morning out of bounds, Minot's Andrew Slattery defeated Jeff Cole 2 and 1 to win the Maine Match Play Tournament.

Slattery was playing on his home course, Martindale CC in Auburn.

He won the Maine Amateur Championship last year and was also Match Play runner-up a year ago.
