Shakers & Seafood Stew on 94.9 HOM Morning Show [AUDIO]

There are only three Shakers remaining at Sabbathday Lake in New Gloucester, Maine. They may be few but their history in the state is deep and rich. Brother Arnold has made the cover of the October issue of Down East magazine.

Editor-in-chief Kathleen Fleury joined us in the 94.9 HOM studios to talk about the unique and intriguing Shakers. We also gabbed about some delicious recipes shared in the magazine including Laura's Seafood Stew from the Red Barn in Augusta. I've had a chance to sample this to die for treat and you will love it! It was her last day before she is banned from traveling because she has a new baby on the way, so were pleased that she was able to join us before maternity leave. I say it's a boy!
