HOLLY STAR, the new Christmas comedy film shot right here in Maine, is set for a debut at City Theater in Biddeford this month.

The trailer for the new film gained statewide attention last week, as the film was about to drop its digital release. Scenes shot in southern Maine are instantly recognizable to anyone familiar with places like Mechanics Park in downtown Biddeford, or the mill district in Biddeford/Saco.

"Holly Star" is an independent Maine Christmas comedy, directed by Michael A. Nickles and starring Katlyn Carlson, Brian Muller, and Teya Patt. Filming started in 2016 in Biddeford, and scenes were also shot in Saco, Kennebunkport, Old Orchard Beach and Portland. The the movie dropped on digital release and on demand December 4th, and it's set for four screenings at Biddeford's historic City Theater.

On December 20, 21 and 22, join the cast and crew of HOLLY STAR at City Theater in Biddeford for a real big showing up on the big screen. Following the Saturday evening showing, join the cast and crew for a Q&A session on stage at City Theater, starting around 8:30pm. Tickets are just $7.50 for the matinee showtimes, and $8.50 for the evening shows. All seating is general admission.
