Luckily, I haven't had to spend a whole lot of time in hospitals in my life. Just a handful of visits to to the ER, never overnight. But if and when the time comes that I do have to be in one for an extended period of time, I'll keep in mind this insightful list from Reader's Digest:
One shocking fact is that, according to this list, "Doctors are incentivized to overtreat." There are many other surprising things in the article I wasn't aware of. Good information to know!
