Facebook user Eric McNett has posted some incredible videos of skating on a mostly frozen Sebago Lake.

The fact that the lake is frozen in January isn't what makes the videos incredible though; it's the condition of the ice at the moment and in that location.

It's so clear it looks like they are skating on glass. I was going to say water, but I didn't want to deal with "ice is water, just frozen you dummy!" But what makes the ice so clear? I did some research on the phenomenon and found an article with way too many words for me to read and stay focused, so here's the link.

These videos make me want to dust off my skates and hit up Sebago for a day. I haven't skated in years for the simple fact that I have become pretty damn lazy. Maybe these videos will give me some motivation.
