There are beer drinkers. Then, there are next level beer history buffs…

Did you know there are more than 100 craft breweries in the state of Maine? These are the things you will learn when you attend "A Taste of Maine's Beer History" on Thursday, October 18th at the Maine Historical Society. It's like going to beer college, but only for one night. Plus, you get to drink while you learn about the history of Maine’s craft beer scene. How cool is that?

The event is being hosted by the author Josh Christie who wrote "Maine Beer: Brewing in Vacationland" and Don Littlefield from The Maine Brew Bus. According to the event's Facebook page, Christie will talk about "the history of brewing in Maine, from its early beginnings through prohibition, temperance, and post-Prohibition, to the resurgence of craft brewing in Maine and how that has shaped the unique and inventive beer culture that flourishes today."

Obviously, this is a 21+ event. If you want to attend, you'll need to register in advance and pay for admission. Find out more here.
