Renee Zellweger looks like Glenn Close [VIDEO]

Renee Zellweger stunned everybody when she made a rare public appearance on Monday evening and appeared to debut a totally new face.

Far be it for me to criticize anyone's looks. I still thinks she looks just fine but I guess I'll never understand why people do this to themselves.

Well, as Renee has now spoken out about her drastic transformation, we can confirm that it is indeed her, but that doesn't make it any easier to believe.

The 45-year-old actress told People magazine: "I’m glad folks think I look different! I’m living a different, happy, more fulfilling life, and I’m thrilled that perhaps it shows."

The private star hasn't featured in a film for four years, and tends to shy away from glitzy showbiz affairs in a bid for a quieter life, so why did she chose to  speak out now?

"It seems the folks who come digging around for some nefarious truth which doesn’t exist won’t get off my porch until I answer the door," Renee explained.
