Rare Viewing Tonight: Mars, Earth and Sun Align

Galactic Alert!  Mars, Earth & the sun will be aligned tonight in a straight line creating an "opposition." Mars lies directly opposite the sun in our sky.Mars will be rising tonight (Tuesday, April 8, 2014) near sunset and is visible all night as it moves across the sky.  Hopefully, the sky will clear out to view this once every two year astronomical treat.  Mars will be a bright burnt orange color and close to 10 times brighter than the stars in the sky. The next Martian opposition occurs on May 22, 2016.
