Portland Farmers’ Market Always In Season
The cold weather is here but that's not stopping the hardy farmers at the Portland Farmers' Market. There's still plenty of great produce to be enjoyed: apples, onions, squash and more.
And if you're ever looking for something creative to do with all those cranberries or cabbage, there's a cookbook by local author Elise Richer. Always in Season: Twelve Months of Fresh Recipes from the Farmer's Markets of New England is a nicely illustrated cookbook of delicious recipes. Always at a loss as to what to do with cauliflower, I tried the Pasta with Cauliflower, Tomatoes &
Cream. It was a hardy delicious meal that was a hit with the family.
The Portland Farmers' Market is every Wednesday in Monument Square and Saturdays in Deering Oaks Park.
