Payless: Another One Of Our Fave Stores Has Filed For Bankruptcy

Another store that we grew up with is closing many of its locations, due to bankruptcy.

Payless Shoes recently announced that it is shutting down nearly 400 stores, according to NH1.

NH1 reports that shoppers are buying more of the things they want online or going to other discount stores on sites like Amazon, and this is hurting their bottom line.

Two Payless locations in New Hampshire are closing their doors:

Rochester - Rochester Marketplace.

Seabrook - Seacoast Shopping Center.

At least two stores in Maine are shutting down:

Biddeford - The Shops at Biddeford Crossing

Bangor - Broadway Shopping Center.
