These stores and restaurants are gone, but not forgotten.

Today on the HOM Morning Show, we asked our listeners to tell us about closed businesses in the area that they miss.

Growing up in Concord, NH, I remember a time when there were several different department stores - Ames (Zayres), Rich's, Bradlees, K-Mart. They competed for your business by offering low prices. Competition is a good thing...it keeps everyone honest. If there's only one department store, they can set their prices at whatever they want!

There are were also several restaurants that were once thriving businesses...but now are just a distant memory. Do you remember the chain of breakfast restaurants called Weeks?
