The Bank of America at One City Center in downtown Portland was robbed Thursday morning at 11AM, just one floor down from our studios.

According to Portland Police, the man handed a teller a note demanding cash, but did not show a weapon. He was last seen leaving the bank headed into Monument Square with the cash.

Officers from the Portland Police Department and agents with the FBI arrived shortly after the robbery and were able to get a very clear picture of the suspect from bank security cameras. He's a white male, wearing a tan zippered jacket with a black inner liner and collar, a gray balaclava, olive green knit cap and sunglasses and carrying a backpack with black straps.

The chance of him getting caught are pretty good since the footage is so clear. If you're going to rob a bank, you would think you would realize there are cameras everywhere and police WILL find you. If you happen to know who this man is, please contact the Portland Police Department at (207) 874-8575.
