When you think of Coffee Cities in the USA, what city comes to mind first?  For me it is Seattle, home of Starbucks.  Well, Seattle, it looks like little ole Portland, Maine, Manchester, New Hampshire and Burlington, Vermont are the caffeinated cats on the block now.

"To determine the rankings, Men’s Health looked at the percentage of households that own coffeemakers and buy coffee; household average spent on coffee; coffee shops per capita; percentage of people who drink coffee and who drink five-plus cups a day."

While talking about coffee in Portland, Maine, I would be remiss in not mentioning that the founders of Coffee By Design in Portland were named Maine’s Small Business Person of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Founders, Mary Allen Lindemann and Alan Spear will be invited to Washington to vie for a national award in mid-May.
