New Summer Reading: The Hundred Year House by Rebecca Makkai [Audio]

There's a new book out to add to your summer reading list and it's approved by Maine author Richard Russo.  Rebecca Makkai is out with her second novel, The Hundred Year House.

The Hundred Year House works back in time from 1999 to 1900 set on a Chicago estate that becomes an artist colony.  The novel includes an eclectic cast of intriguing characters. I enjoyed this book so much that I want to go back and read Rebecca's first novel The Borrower. Rebecca was recently in Maine and I had the chance to talk with her. You can listen here:
