New Hampshire Town Named #2 Best Ski Town by USA Today

This charming town, smack dab in the middle of the White Mountains, is only a short drive from some of the state's best ski resorts.  

USA Today's 10Best has ranked NORTH CONWAY, NH as the #2 Best Ski Town in America. As an avid skier and a visitor to both Colorado and New Hampshire ski areas, I have to agree.

For a month, USA TODAY 10Best readers voted on their favorite ski town from a pool of 20 towns chosen by a panel of skiers and snowboarders.

North Conway has it all for winter enthusiasts: Lakes, mountains, restaurants, the Cog Railway, and of course, shopping outlets.

USA Today describes North Conway as:

Nestled within the scenic White Mountains of New Hampshire, North Conway sits within a half-hour drive of more than a dozen alpine and Nordic ski resorts. Visitors off the slopes can explore the town's pastel-hued Victorian architecture oozing New England charm. The Mount Washington Observatory Weather Discovery Center makes for an excellent rest-day diversion.

Quite an honor for the delightful New Hampshire town, especially considering the competition.
