My Top 5 Movies of 2013

Here's my top 5 movies of 2013 so far. The Wolf of Wall Street and American Hustle have yet to come out. I would love to know yours!

This was not easy. Lots of good flicks this year. Feel free to list yours Top grossing movies of 2013-

5. The Hunger Games 2: Catching Fire I was late to the party on the first one. All in w/ the sequel. Woody Harrelson hasn't been this lovable since he was Woody Boyd! (Actually he has but I just wanted to sneak in a Cheers reference)

4. The Heat Set in Boston, Melissa McCarthy is a detective and Sandra Bullock is a FBI agent.  I know, I thought the same thing, but it's hysterical!  Some great Boston moments from character actors.  Also, Identify Thief with Melissa McCarthy is also in my top 10.

3.  The Butler  I owe Oprah Winfrey an apology.  She can act and probably will get an Oscar nod.  Forrest Whitiker will also be nominated and could win Best Actor.

2.  12 Years a Slave  Incredible story, hard to watch. Chiwetel Ejiofor will be nominated for Best Actor and will probably win.  Brad Pitt plays a very small, but important role.

1. Captain Phillips  Knew the ending coming in and still think it's the best one I've seen all year and the reason is TOM HANKS!

Honorable Mention:  Blue Jasmine - Another beauty from Woody Allen. Cate Blanchette will win Best Actress or I will take all of you to a movie of your choice next year!
