Paul Doiron has added another book to his Maine Game Warden Mike Bowditch series with Massacre Pond. The novel begins with the illegal slaughter of 10 moose.

Readers will love the sense of place that Paul creates in the Maine woods and the "ripped from the headlines" thrill of the mystery. Basing Massacre Pond on true events, he has combined the 1999 Soldiertown moose slaughter with the proposed Maine North Woods National Park. Paul continues his involvement with Down East: The Magazine of Maine, as Editor Emeritus after having served as Editor in Chief from 2005 to 2013. He can now devote more time to writing full time and continuing his Mike Bowditch series. Which is a good thing because he left me wanting more at the end of Massacre Pond.  Paul joined the 94.9 WHOM Morning Show with Sandra & Teddy recently.  Here is the interview:
