According to Democratic Rep. Erin Herbig, there are currently more than 116,000 veterans living in Maine.

Thanks to a new law passed earlier this year those Veterans will be allowed into State Parks and The Maine State Museum for free. Before the new law, Maine Veterans received discounted admission to the museum.

Only Veterans who live in Maine, and had an honorable discharge, or general discharge under honorable conditions are eligible.

It takes the Maine Bureau of Veterans' Services about three weeks to process applications so now is the perfect time!
