Low-Cost Microchip Clinic Could Help You Find Your Pet if They Get Lost
If price has prevented you from equipping your pet with a microchip, the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland's Low-Cost Microchip Clinic can help you.
A microchip containing identifying information is implanted just under the skin of your dog or cat. In the event your furry friend is lost, animal control or veterinarians can scan the microchip, recover the information, and reunite you with your pet. Both of my dogs have microchips and it gives me piece of mind knowing that if they escape without their collar, they have a better chance of finding their way home.
Microchipping can cost $50-$65 or more. At the Low-Cost Clinic, you'll pay only $35. Join the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland at The Animal House/Kohl's parking lot in Westbrook on August 7th to get your pets chipped.
