The only time I have ever been to Canada is when I turned 18. Me and a group of gal pals headed to Montreal as the legal drinking age there is in fact 18. It wasn't a very culturally enriching trip as you can imagine. I do however remember Candadiens being very polite! I am happy to have the opportunity to venture back to good ole Canada now that I am a little older and can appreciate all it has to offer.

My trip begins at 2pm Tomorrow as I set sail on a five and a half hour journey from Portland Maine to Yarmouth Nova Scotia. Seasickness is always a possibility with me so Dramamine, check! Around 7:30 the Cat will dock in Yarmouth and we will check into our hotel at the Rodd Grand Hotel. (I feel fancy just saying it) From then on out the world is our oyster! Here are the things I hope to do, see and eat during my two day stay in Nova Scotia:

Lunch at the Shanty Cafe

Banana chips with my sandwich!? Yes please.

Visit Eel Lake Oyster Farm

I love me a nice fresh oyster. At Eel lake you can meet the folks who farm these salty treats of the sea and take some home if you like!

Do some water activities on Lake Milo

Fingers crossed we have good kayaking weather!

Eat a monstrosity like this at the Red Shed

I mean the name rhymes and they have this on the menu, what else do you need in life?

Check out the Cape Forchu Lighthouse

How scenic!

Off to a pretty good start i'd say! If you've been to Nova Scotia and have any recommendations for me, any guidance would be GREATLY appreciated. Well, I guess I should start packing. :)
