It’s Portland’s Official Summer Kick Off Weekend This Saturday and Sunday!

This Saturday and Sunday, June 11th and 12th, Portland Downtown presents the official summer kick off in Portland!

"Walk the Waterfront" is a really interesting chance for you and your family to explore the working waterfront and get a rare behind the scenes glimpse into how many Mainers are making a living. That's Saturday from 11-3 from Maine State Pier to Becky's Diner. Pick up an event map at the Info Booth at the head of Union Wharf.

Saturday is also "Shop for a Cause Day", all day! Check out portlandmaine.com for a list of participating shops. A portion of the money you spend on your purchases will be donated to Portland Trails, a network connecting people and green spaces.

Sunday is Portland's epic family day, the Old Port Festival! We look forward to this rite of passage into summer every year. Enjoy and amazing day of live music, delicious foods, kids activities and lots of entertainment from 11 to 5.
