I Am Blown Away By The Bravery Of This 5th Grade Student From Plaistow

Delanie Marcotte did something that most people her age would not have the courage to do. She has been dealing with bullying from her classmates at the Timberlane School in Plaistow. It has gotten to the point where she dreads going to school every day. She decided it's time to take action and make a change.

Delanie attended a Timberlane School Board meeting and read a letter pleading with the School Board to do something about the bullying problem in their school. Through tears, she gave examples of the instances of bullying she has dealt with:

Her letter not only got the attention of the Superintendent of the school district, but also her father posted a video on Facebook of her reading the letter which has over 700 shares and 42K views.

Delanie is brave and wise beyond her years, and her parents should be extremely proud. We stand with Delanie!
