WalletHub just released 2017’s Most & Least Stressed States based on "33 key indicators of stress." WalletHub’s analysts looked at various factors, such as divorce rates, job security, average hours worked per week and credit scores.

Maine is in the middle at number 27. Vacationland gets an honorable mention in the "lowest crime rate per capita" category at number 50. It takes second place behind Vermont. However, Maine ranks the second lowest for job security.

New Hampshire ranks at the lower end of the list at number 45. The Granite State also has a low crime rate (#49). Plus, New Hampshire has the lowest percentage of adults in fair/poor health and the lowest percentage of the population living below the poverty line. (Both #51)

By the way, the most stressed state is Alabama.
