Last week on the HOM Morning Show, I told the story about how I found a huge bug in my home with a gazillion legs. Turned out it was a House Centipede, which according to Wikipedia, are generally harmless to humans. However, my girlfriend was BUGGING OUT (see what I did there?), so I had no choice but to kill it. Well, it turns out that I shouldn't have done that, for a few different reasons. First of all, house centipedes do us a favor, by eating lots of smaller bugs in our homes. So if you see one, that's a good thing. Secondly, Nikki pointed out to me that it's actually good luck to find one in your home, and BAD luck to kill it! Also, an HOM listener posted an article on our Facebook page with further proof that you shouldn't kill them. So next time, maybe I'll just take the little guy to a different room, where my girlfriend can't see him!
