My oil furnace is getting old...over 20 years old and oil isn't getting any cheaper. So, I'm thinking about doing something different. After the ridiculously cold and long winter, I'm sure that I'm not the only one. It's perfect timing for the Green Heating Fair in Portland this week.

The Green Heating Fair is free and open to the public. It's part of the Northeast Biomass Heating Expo at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland, Maine. This is a great chance to explore and research alternative heating sources, solar, wood pellet, geothermal and more.  The free event runs from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.on Thursday, April 11th and the following morning, Friday, April 12th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Experts will be available to discuss your questions and tell you about incentives available.
