According to WMTW, the 93-year-old former president checked into Southern Maine Medical on Sunday with symptoms of low blood pressure and fatigue.

His spokesperson said that Bush is talkative and in good spirits, but will remain hospitalized for the next few days.

Bush has spent every summer in Maine since his childhood, with the exception of the one summer that he served in World War II.

He felt terrible about having to miss the annual Memorial Day Parade in Kennebunkport Monday. He tweeted out these sentiments to the patriots and their families who have made sacrifices for our country:

We hope that the former President feels better soon and can enjoy a healthy summer here in New England.
