If you remember a few weeks back we had shared with a story about some controvesy involving Funtown Splashtown in Saco.

A company out of San Antonio, Texas called "Splashtown" was under fire when a parent accused two of their teenage employees of bullying and laughing at her autistic son.

When the story was covered by Ellen DeGeneres on her show social media blew up with everyone confusing the Texas location with our location here in Maine.

After the owners were able to point the local media stations to the story in Texas they eventually cleared up the confusion.  The mother of the bullied boy even defended Funtown on her Facebook Page.

That could have easily been the end of the story. Funtown cleared their name and they could have just moved on. But they didn't.

Instead the decided to hold an Autism Awareness day on August 24th, and if that wasn't enough, Funtown flew the boy from Texas and his family to Maine to come enjoy a few days at their park.

WCSH6 covered the story here, and I couldn't wait to share it with all of you!
